If you live most of your teen years in an "online life" how difficult will it be.....? to have a normal adult life? I mean if for the past few years (age 17 now) since you were 14 you have only communicated with ppl outside of your family thru your computer will it be hard to break free from this? Obviously there is very low self esteem but he also goes to high school online and has no real life friends and has never had a gf except online and will only talk to her/them online...no phones or webcams. How bad a situation is this? Thanks | | Not bad at all.. just need to break the ice.. | Do you think a teen internet relationship will work out? im kind of dating someone that i met online. we both have webcams and talk to each other like 24/7. hes 19 and lives in canada and im 15 and live in nj. we're really happy regardless of the long distance. do you think this will work out? | | Unfortunately, no. It might be interesting to 'date' him, but there is little to no hope of it lasting. Reality check: What would a 19 year old want to talk to a 15 year old and pretend that he's dating her? You really are just pretending. A positive is that you can't get pregnant! A couple of negatives are that there is no real committment on either's part. He gets off easy because he doesn't have to pay for any dinners and you get to feel the warm, fuzzy feeling that comes with a romance. It's difficult to really get to know someone over the internet because there's so much room to fib. You may want to be dating a real person instead of a picture on your monitor. I'm sure he has lots of good qualities, but it's useless to really think this relationship will work out. Sorry, it's probably not what you want to hear. Also, don't meet him in person--too much chance he's a freak. | How to make a long-distance relationship last? I met my sweetheart on the internet, and we both live in Europe, but we're still pretty much far apart (Portugal - Netherlands). He's been trying to have a word with me for a few years, but only this year did I decide to reply. And from six months ago until now, we've been talking every single day with very few exceptions (school work, taking breaks so we don't end up getting tired of each other...)
I'm really cautious and aware of the dangers of getting involved with someone online, so I always keep an eye out and do my best not to get dragged down in the event that he turns out not to be who he says he is.
But if he is real, we're both more or less the same age (17 - 16), I've seen him on webcam (and yes, I'm also aware that fake webcams exist, but work with me here).
He has introduced me friends of his, and even though I keep in mind questioning how real he is, I trust him entirely with my views on life, my character, interests, things that are not objective like where I live, but subjective, like the way I am. He does the same thing (or so I hope), so we understand and help one another out whenever we can... as cheesy as it sounds, we fit so well together, it almost feels absurd.
In a nutshell, we discuss everything we can remember and tell each other everything that has to do with the heart; but the problem here is that it gets to a point that we have nothing else to talk about and get bored...
I've never had a boyfriend and he's never had a girlfriend, so we haven't dwelt much with the whole relationship experience except for crushes. We are going to meet in person around mid-July (with parental guidance).
So I have some questions:
1) How do we find out new ways to get entertained over the internet? We bear the physical distance well, but not the boredom. I'd be devastated if this fell apart because of boredom. :(
2) Any tips for meeting up, travelling as teen? We bear the distance, but we're not made of iron. While neither of us can move out yet, it'd be nice to see him in person every once in a while!
3) Any other advice on whatever was mentioned above?
Thank you for your time! | | find your individual part times. It's the only way believe me | What movie is about a group of people who purely socialize on webcam? There is a movie about a group of people and their lives as they socialize on webcams and visit sex cam sites. One about a teen coming to terms with his homosexuality while he confesses his fantasies to an older man, a girl who is over sexed and gets paid to erotically webcam, and a man who is racking up an enormous bill by watching a girl change in her room all day and finds girls like the over sexed one to masturbate to. It's not a porno, it was a film i remember watching on HBO or something. Late at night of course. I believe the man with the expensive bill had a roommate living with him.

us.imdb.com/title/tt0302889/ | We have a neighbor filming our guyren, police wont help,is it illegal?what can we do?do we have any rights? we live remote and have only one neighbor,a month after we moved in they began behaving anti socially, calling all manner of council depts. out, social services, dogwarden, planning, even RSPCA!for the last nine months have been filming my guyren with a webcams aimed directly over our property, the police seem unable to help although are putting a case together for wasting police time, and did confiscate footage,I object to having my guyren filmed, they age 2 to 15,3 boys and 3 girls 2 of which are teens.
why are they allowed to get away with this and what law protects us? | | i would get a lawyer. i dont know what the law is where you live but here in CA it is illegal for anyone to take your picture or video tape you without your knowledge or your permission. Now it seems like if this individual is calling social services on you and sees a great reason to, maybe this person is using this information to pass it along to the authorities. So if you are doing something wrong and you know it, you might want to fix it, or you will lose this case. | I need to get away from my partner! how??? answers from Men appreciated? My partner and i have been together for 8 years since our teens.
The relationship started off badly and is still bad to this day if im honest.
I gave birth to our 2nd daughter 8 weeks ago and since then i have discovered he's been looking at porn and webcams ect, when i confronted him he chucked hot water at me from the kettle and punched me to the ground, he later apologised and me being the fool i forgave him.
He tells me im a freak and a tragedy (i had a bad guyhood full of abuse). I would consider myself fairly attractive and i am in no way a freak, but his comments more then anything is what hurts me most.
Im not scared of him my father did worse when i was a guy and no man could scare me because of it.
I have no savings, no qualification and bad credit, council housing is in short supply where i live too.
Im scared to leave him because i depend on him, and he is great with our girls, a very loving and devoted father. Im also scared to leave him because i can't bare the thought of him being with someone else, i know he would end up happier then myself because has a career and potential and he always seems to end up better off then me, he's the kind of guy that everybody likes.
Sometimes i wish i could develop amnesia and move away meet a nice man who would treat me like a lady.Right now all i feel is an aching in my heart and so much regret.
I wish others knew just how disgusting he is.
does anyone have any advice they could offer me? kind words? | Any guy that can throw hot water on a woman, especially a woman who just had his baby is not going to be happy EVER, but that's perfectly okay because he deserves it and you deserve better, get yourself and your girls out of that house.
Go to a woman's shelter if you have to, they will help.
Good luck! | How do you feel about teens being charged with guy porn for sexting nude pic's of themselves? Some say the law is the law. And if you start changing the law for one person why not do it for everyone?
Others say they are just dumb guys. (Dumb maybe... horny definitely)
And some people, mostly guys say, it is their bodies and their phone... um... not really most of these guys don't "own" the phone they use. Their parents do and these parent's could also get busted for phones with CP on it. As for the body issue my parents always said we own you until you are living on your own and paying your own way. I kind of agree with that because how your guys act and what they do reflects on how you raised them.
Still, I personally think... What?! As if guys haven't been sending nude pics from webcams and e-mail already. Or just plan getting naked together. This just reeks of how *** backwards this country is of sexuality and nudity. I think of how it is also illegal for minors to have sex period (let's arrest any guy who copulates that sounds like a smart idea.) I think of how in the 70s & 80s popular film had nude chicks and breasts and topless guys out in the open and in ways that were so obviously porny/sexist. But there was crack down and now in films we have less of that but more of it in other harder to regulate ways like Craigslist and cell phones else hmm...
Until we as a country openly admit that the porn industry (sadly guy porn is a part of this) is the largest entertainment industry in the country we will always be *** backwards.
Anyway... enough of my rant... your in depth thoughts. | The laws were made in the 70's and were not enforceable then. Now there is a digital record of what teens are showing and looking at. That lets idiots try and make a huge deal about nothing. But with the internet there is not way to stop anyone from seeing whatever they want.
Even before the internet; there are very few people before the internet who didn't see some type of nudity before they were 18. People were also doing stupid things to show off for friends and their BF/GF. Everyone needs to realize that making something forbidden makes people want do do it more. The teens should be permitted to make their own choices and show what ever they want. At the same time parents need to take responsibility and teach them that there are penalties for their actions. My daughters know that if I were to find out about pics, videos or anything like that I will show them to the family at Christmas. Everyone will see what they did.
No there should not be any legal action taken against them. Punishment should be up to the parent. | How do you feel about teens being charged with guy porn for sexting nude pic's of themselves? Anyway... enough of my rant... your in depth thoughts. | First, where were these girls when I was that age?!!!
I think it's stupid to destroy their lives over something as silly and immature as an impulsive act. Once convicted (as a "sex offender" -- having used an electronic device, they are not allowed access to any computers. That means all of those places that now have electronic job applications on a "kiosk," they are not allowed employment. It gets pretty crazy. A friend's son just got out of jail and at the ripe old age of 19, he is done. No job, no prospect of a job, (very) limited about where he can live and the things he can do. He can't even go to the mall! Someone stick a fork in him. He's done. |
